My love for cocktail glasses and cups is strong. I can spend hours searching Etsy and eBay for unique finds, and I have only recently been able to pass by a vintage or thrift shop without stopping in and walking out with a new set (the lack of storage space and a potential move is to thank for that!).
The best part of these glasses is that while they are very durable, they hold up well to being washed, the vinyl peels off easily. I can reuse the glasses for the next holiday with a new decoration.
I got these sheets of vinyl which I highly recommend. I had been holding off buying them in hopes I would find single sheets at a craft store so I didnt end with a ton of colors I didnt need, but I could find nothing comparable. The rolls of vinyl you get at Michaels are about the same price, and that is just for a single color, at double the size, of one sheets.
These sheets are a total steal for the price, you will be set for any project or holiday you have come up, and the vinyl itself is really great, much better than the Cricut rolls.
To make the sayings, I just outlined what I wanted it to say on the vinyl sheets and cut it out with an exacto knife. I added some downloads below if you want to use the ones I created!
For the pinata, I had a basic pinata outline and cut each piece out, then layered them up starting at the bottom, and worked my way up, there are downloadable outlines below.
To make these glass you will need:
- On your sheet of vinyl outline what you want your glasses to say, you can use your own hand writting, print out a saying in your favorite font, or use a version I created.
Fiesta then Siesta
- Using an exacto knife, outline what you would like to cut out.
- Carefully transfer from vinyl sheet to glass. Press on well to ensure they stay.
- Mix a margarita and enjoy!
