This past weekend was Andrew and my 3 year anniversary. In the past we have gone to San Diego to celebrate but this year wanted to do something different. We talked about taking a trip someplace but between his crazy final schedule, and having to start school again in a couple days, we opted to stay in town.
LA feels a lot bigger than it is, with all the traffic and little neighborhoods, there is just so much we never get to do. So we decided to do things in town that we never normally do, a sort of a stay cation with out renting a hotel. We went downtown, explored the east side, explored the west, and finally road bikes along the boardwalk. I feel much more confident giving out recommendations in almost all parts of town now, and have a few local short list post in my back pocket now.
I think this might be my favorite anniversary so far, and best of all it has re sparked that desire to explore our town. Thanks for asking me to go steady 3 years ago Andrew, its been my favorite.
An amazing from scratch date night made by Andrew to kick off the weekend.
Peddle boats around Echo Park lake with a view of downtown.
Exploring the shops in Silverlake
The best brunch at Tavern in Brentwood.
Finally biking along the beach.
Anniversary dinner at Smoke.Oil.Salt.
