As much as I enjoy being busy, I think I have been too busy! Weekends and weekdays so over packed that my planner is becoming less helpful, and more gibberish! Instead of sitting down to take a look at how to better be productive and accomplish all that I want, I was ready to just drop it all and start over! Then I talked to my almost 21 year old brother. He has a part time job, coaches high school football, has a girlfriend, and is about to go back to school full time. He doesn’t complain, much, but simply loves doing all those things, so he does. He also doesn’t sleep! While I think my brother is a bit over scheduled he taught me a lesson that he can sleep when he is dead. And coffee is power. While I am a full devote to the last part, I over prioritize sleep. I need to sleep less, and do more. But that doesn’t mean I wont be spending Sundays lounging in jams with a cup of coffee (or 3) and the crossword. Sundays will always be for just that.
Friday night food trucks in Venice are my favorites. I am a huge food truck fan but don’t have any that I love enough to follow their schedule. I love knowing that there are going to be a ton of places to try and they will all be in one location! I am already counting the days until my next duck melt.
Balboa is so close, yet so far! I wish I made my way down more often but always find an excuse to stay local. However, a family birthday, with relatives from all over, was more than enough reason for me to get my butt in gear and head down for the day! Plus, not much beats the island at night.
I love flea markets, and yard sales, and estate sales. I love browsing for hidden gems, and now things to make my house a home. But the Rose Bowl flea market was far too big! Hundreds of vendors in the heat, pretty much kicked my butt! I did find a booth with just mason jars, all shapes and sizes and age! While it was fun to experience, I do think I will be sticking with smaller events from now on!
Here’s to a productive week, with less sleep, more coffee, and tackling that to-do list!
